The Story

The kingdom of Sharan is under the attack of shadowy creatures that are haunting the residents. Searching for answers, Sophie travels all around the kingdom, awakens magic powers, gets to know people that were considered myths, and faces her worst fears, unlocking a deep journey of self discovery.

Gameplay

Traveling through the Kingdom of Sharan, you will find a perfect blend of magnificent landscapes, touching stories and ferocious battles. The journey is not just about making progress with the main storyline: you are always free to explore Sharan’s many hidden corners, forge friendship with the characters you encounter, or engage in combat to hone your magical skills.

Sophie: Starlight Whispers is not just another 2D adventure with detailed pixelated graphics. It offers a great cast of characters to get to know, each with their own views of the world and its lore. The narrative is linear but full of meaning and interpretations and is up to the player to discover the stories that are part of Sophie’s journey.

The main focus of gameplay is exploration while pushing forward the main story progression while fighting different creatures and bosses. During exploration, Sophie can find four types of magic spells: Offensive, Medicinal, Spatial and Psychic. With various spells in hand, she can mix and match in four slots according to the player’s personal preference, building its own basic strategy, complementing the sharp edge of the sword with magic spells.  There is a free demo available on Steam.
